Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

what to write about?

The topic of God is vast and complex, and there are many angles from which you could approach it in your blog. Here are a few potential ideas to get you started:

  1. Exploring different conceptions of God: There are countless ways that people have conceptualized God throughout history and across different religious traditions. You could write about some of the different ideas that exist about God, and explore what makes each of them unique.
  2. Examining the role of God in contemporary society: In many parts of the world, the role of religion and God is changing, and new forms of spirituality are emerging. You could write about some of the ways that people are redefining their relationship with God in the modern world, and what this might mean for the future.
  3. Discussing the problem of evil: One of the most challenging issues related to God is the problem of evil, or the question of why a supposedly all-powerful and all-loving God would allow suffering to exist in the world. You could explore different responses to this problem, and offer your own perspective on how to reconcile the existence of God with the existence of evil.
  4. Sharing personal stories and experiences: Finally, you could use your blog as a platform to share your own experiences with God, and invite others to share theirs as well. This could be a powerful way to create a community of people who are exploring the meaning of God together.
