Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Agenda

A day in the life

So, what did God do today?

He takes a field trip to hell, for some variety, stimulation, and inspiration.  There is evil there that does not sleep.   So God has to stay up, too.  Which isn’t hard, as he is omnipotent and can do anything.   UP is practically his middle name (His real middle name is Maurice).  Everyone in Heaven should know about the torments of the damned - its abreactive value is profound!   So he made criminals make mistakes and leave evidence, and made prison more dangerous for the criminals that deserved a harsher sentence, and rewarded some of the kind, goodhearted people who lift the spirits of everyone around them - with happiness, money, freedom, and leisure time with friends.   And, to be proactive, God inspired some writers to make addendums to holy scripture, and initiated some bad karma against the devil.  Then he put the finishing touches on some dreams he’s been working on, to share en masse, but making everyone forget, so they don’t all realize they’re thinking the same things.   All in a day’s work, for a holy Deity.

What will God do tomorrow?

God has a work ethic, but every day is still a day of rest.  He’ll give some attention to the sea, and all the plastic choking up all of its life, the pollution that also includes runoff of poisonous, harmful, toxic chemicals like pesticides and fertilizers.   The earth’s ecology isn’t as bad as Beta Reticuli’s of course, but he’ll get to it when he can.   It’s a big universe.  He’s working on the evolution of earth’s Animalia to adapt to the anthropogenic harm - if he does it right, life will come out even stronger than the Cretaceous (God, that was a fun era!).  Hm, maybe I’ll send an asteroid or two to put people in their place.  And some perfectly centered earthquakes.  I’ll leave the planning of the hurricanes and plagues to another day.

What will God do on Wednesday?

The same thing as every day, brain!  Try to take over the world!  I actually always already have, but it needs some maintenance, from time to time, putting the smackdown on the upstart demons and such.  And, since I already know what I’m going to do for all of eternity, because I’m omniscient, I invent what I call “freedom playgrounds” where I can be amused and entertained by beings who have free will, who I watch in my mind’s eye like what the humans call “television”.
