Sicker than Satan, more diabolical than the devil, more evil than Lucifer, the psychopathic killer X plots the day’s disasters: His computers are successfully generating insight into the best locations for butterfly effect causations. His fans are generating terrifying tornadoes quite well, and his minions are dumping tons of toxins into the drinking water of millions…. Corporate greed is, for lack of a better word, Good! But, ever the perfectionist, that is simply not enough. Everyone must turn against one another. People must suffer, the more widespread and acute the pain, the better. Suffer and die, on every continent, in every town and village. I have a dream, let agony ring! I must annihilate every last being on this hellish planet, before they pollute the universe with their sick designs of dominion. I will be rewarded by my alien overlords. Humanity must die. And because all life is interconnected, then all the life on the planet must go down with them, as well! Let all curse the day they were born! Curse life itself. Pray to Me for the speedy relief of oblivion from this never-ending hell on earth.

Getting the Nations of the world to war against one another would be a supreme achievement, with Nuclear detonations as the crowning glory of perfection, which only a genius supervillain could successfully effect. Ah, one can only dream. World War III, the dystopian nightmare of apocalyptic destruction, yesss. Let the world unleash my fury! Universal malice, and global violence, and worldwide depravity - a mere famine, plague, drought, flood, hurricane, tornado, volcanic eruption, asteroid impact, or earthquake away. Better all of them at once, at once!
Pestilence and disease are my favorite tools of death, destruction, disaster, and despair. Let all felicity be washed away into a sea of depression! Let all hope be extinguished! Let every heart be full of madness, spite, and vengeance. Let every demon rise! All men are assassins, and must be unleashed on the world. Empty the prisons. Bomb every police station. Arm every child. Nuke every city. Let blood flow through the streets. Let the rivers turn red. The oceans turn to stinking cesspools. The summers into flaming furnaces of furious fire, the winters into icy hellscapes of screaming arctic blizzards, the spring and fall into vicious selfish battles to prepare and survive the arriving torments, the approaching tortures of unrelenting misery and discomfort. Let me tax every constitution into ruthlessness, savagery, and anguish. Let all kindness, gentleness, compassion, and love be erased into humanity’s base instincts of cannibalistic dog-eat-dog survival of the fittest, in a world of spite, malice, and revenge. Hatred and resentment shall Rule the Earth! Life is shit! Die, you bastards!
Haha. I had you going there, didn’t I? You thought I was evil. No, that’s just me imagining the worst, as a kind of virtual reality to punish the worst sinners in my virtual afterlife. And after the Hitlers of this world see what they’ve done, they can die into a better reality, and eventually join the rest of us, the saints and angels, all the repentant sinners, in our everlasting bliss of heaven. Heaven is enjoyed all the more by way of contrast, no? See, I know what I’m doing. Acts of God are in fact virtuous, because Heaven becomes all the more precious. Hunger makes the food taste better. Comedy only works when there’s something to laugh at. Tragedy makes a tranquil life all the sweeter. An ocean of tears fills the swimming pools of our perfect summer vacations. Variety is the spice of life, and misery makes us savor the bliss all the more. These are only words. The virtual reality in your mind is the vicarious experience you need to make things right. So let there be light, and love, and laughter. May joy bless your heavenly existence, in which war is over, climate disruption is averted, and peace and safety, comfort and community, reign supreme, on a planet of cooperative generosity and wealth and wisdom for all.
