Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

Your pal, Jess
I'm a straight, virgo/boar INTJ (age 55) who enjoys books, getting out into nature, music, and daily exercise.

F.Y.I. There are about 2500 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Stan and Lucy

Everybody is NOT fuckin’ good, Jesse -v

Thought experiment

Everyone IS good?  Really?

It’s all good.

There is no evil.

No crime.

Everyone is free to do anything.

There is no God’s law

No law books:  chaos, anarchy

The natural state, The State of Nature

The most wicked is a kind of goodness, actually

Says the devil

Says god

Says me

AMC theaters: anarchy, mayhem, chaos

MCI mad crazy insane

CVS Cthulhu Voldemort Sauron

WAG the dog, Walgreens

MAD SLB. Mephistopheles Antichrist Devil Satan Lucifer Beelzebub

Stan and Lucy Duvall (Satan and Lucifer Devil)

Stan and Lucy are famous fossils (T Rex and Australopithecus afarensis)

Damon's demonic dementia

vile violent violation

I dunno.   Full freedom might actually suck.

Might makes right and such

Everyone paranoid

The police would still lock people up

Love

Unconditional, True Love

People change, but true love persists, as a grokking of identity (both identities) and the relationship.   Love is renewed, as a committment between two different and changing beings, who would rather be together than alone, and feel they are and will be happier in communion.   Honestly, it takes work, and can be a bit of a gamble.  Cupid's arrow can be random, but some of us take what we can get.

Unconditional- no matter what.   If you love one, you love all (all in all is all we are), SO a relationship between two expands into your overall relationship with society.   Love is wanting the other person to be happy, not suffer, almost as an extension of self, with compassion and joy.

True, not acted or pretended, natural and organic.   Deep affection, and loving yourself around your loved one.   God is often defined as Love, the source of love, and can be a helpful belief for a committed relationship, grounded in an unchanging ideal of goodness and support and kindness.

Loving Reality, life, yourself, everyone.   Love is happy, helpful, hopeful (Heaven itself).

Sex is just a part of it, called "making love" for a reason, but not strictly necessary, especially if the love isn't mutual, or is unrequited.   Intimacy is a kind of maintenance, a language of touch between a couple who enjoy each other, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

Love should grow and be reinforced, and be pleasurable, in every way.   Life can be hard, so having someone to deal with it all is important, even necessary, because solitude, alienation, isolation, and loneliness don't hold a candle to Love.

The sex act does not equate to love.  But knowing each other's turn-ons and turn-offs is part of it.   Really, really good sex, good chemistry, is foundational for many relationships.   But not all.   Lovers should be best friends, too, if you ask me.

UTL also stands for Unable To Locate (in police lingo)

Love is inclusive, if universal.   Even for haters.   People who wish ill on others.  Like burn in hell for all eternity.   Or crucify him.  Even dumb dicks, stupid shits, idiot retarded wicked reprobate sinner criminals, monsters, demons and vicious villains.  Infested rotten whore things.  Arrogant bent corrupt depraved evil fucks.  Cruel and twisted.   Yada yada.   Every single one of us, the devil inside.  They say God loves everyone, including sinners.  God says I don't even know you.  But to know know know him is to love him.  I don't know you, but I love you.  You're a person.  I get it.  Get the picture?

I suppose I should add that God has his favorites.   Those he loves most (and least).   Right?

Hats off, yessir,  to yetzer ha-tov!   Have a Buddha-ful day!   Or an even butter day with cheeses rice :-)

Or in Heaven, Asgard, or Mt. Olympus?    Mount Kailash and Mount Meru, too.

Then again, some say God is omnipresent (EVERYWHERE!), as big as the universe itself!

Where are you, God?  Can you hear me?   Are you out there?

Come into my heart.   Make me a vehicle of your peace.   You know, that kind of thing.

Enjoy the ambrosia and nectar (food and drink of the Gods).   You are welcome here :-)

New Bike!

 The Trek people are amazing

My Trek e-bike (pedal-assist), which I bought for $1400 in May of 2019, had a problem with the kickstand, and a piece of metal came off the frame, and my warranty meant I get a brand new bike!   Phil at the Berkeley store helped me get my $1999 brand new Trek electric bike, which I rode home from the nearby store just today.   It's all black, except for tan tires, and it looks smart.   I hope it lasts.

I'm charging it now.  I rode out to Safeway for chinese food.   My only complaint is it doesn't go over 20 miles per hour.   Like the pedals get sludgy, even going downhill.   But it's got turn-signals, which are awesome, and front and rear lights built into it.   It's still heavy, but I don't mind, because it's fun.   It accelerates quickly.   I have to adjust to the new configuration.   The seat is higher than the handlebars.

I'm told a single charge will take me 75 miles, depending how much juice I use.   Of course, I like going fast.  It's fun going uphill, because it's effortless, and I know how much harder it would be without it.

Thanks, Trek!
