God and Goodness
1. God is good. (by definition) (what is is- adjective, identity), (anything good is god)
2. Only God is good (said Jesus. Mark 10:18)
3. God is the source of all goodness. (James 1:17)
Wordplay:
4. God is good without an O (orgasm, say. No need for sex, 46) -me
5. Good without God becomes O .
(a meme at a church, selected for extinction by Daniel Dennett, in his Ted talk)
The O is interpreted to have been intended to mean zero, or nothing.
My response is:
What’s good is good, and a matter of opinion
The tree of knowledge of good and evil (weird, not literal)
(Ripe fruit and fruit that has worms in it or is rotten, say?)
Religion is “be good” (at least that's MY religion)
(which can be as simple as “don’t be evil” -google’s motto)
I don’t mind Good without God becomes zero.
Because, Good with God becomes zero, too.
Anicca (impermanence)
All phenomena are impermanent, temporary.
It’s a buddhist law. All things cause suffering, from this.
(IF you’re attached to things)
O
Can mean (OMG, or Orgasm, or Offense, for example), or Zero/Nothing
Or Oblivion
(a. unaware and unconscious of what’s happening)
(b. state of being forgotten, especially by the public, a la Coco, movie, a second and more permanent kind of death)
(c. Extinction) … Nullibiety (null is zero)
You should be good, by your own lights. I don't mind if you don't think of me, or yourself, as God, but you should still be virtuous, eschew sin and crime and evil, and if you submit to a higher power, as you understand him/her, be rational about it, and not blindly obedient or unthinking or unthoughtful or submissive. To thine own self be true. To me, at least, that's Godly. You should at least try to be good. Everyone learns by trial and error. That's good! To me, that's God! If God is infinite, then it's all God. There is only one true infinity. Infinite love?
