Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

Your pal, Jess

F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Abortion soundbite

Abortion is repugnant, and wrong, too. It should be illegal, as well as criminal. It is a scientific fact, not a matter of belief, that life begins at conception. A human life is not the same as a fly to be swattted or a tumor to be excised. There is no such thing as an unwanted baby. I was adopted, and I, for one, am glad I am alive. Even in cases of rape or incest, a baby should not be snuffed because of the crime of his or her father. The fetus, if it could legally defend itself, would probably say 'keep your laws off my body.' Finally, should we allow Siamese twins to kill their partners? After all, they're attached. Why would any mother want to kill her own baby? It's homicide, pure and simple, and infanticide at that. We should love one another, and pre-emptively vacuuming out the life of one's child is not a loving act, in my view.

Feel free to say this without quoting me. I approve my words for usage as a meme. Nothing would delight me more than to hear a politician or lawyer quote this. Well, actually, reversing Roe v. Wade would. I would buy myself a Baskin Robbins banana split. I like those.
