Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Capital Punishment: Death, Thou Shalt Die

Reasons to let killers live

1.He or she loves and is loved; or has a family, a spouse, a kid

2.The family of the victim has mercy/compassion

3.He or she can live a useful life, or has or will have money.

4.He or she is mentally ill or retarded

5.The legal system is fukt up: other killers like him or her were allowed to live

6.Morality is subjective; there is no good; the murder served the public interest

7.You would have killed, too -if you knew the victim,
-if you were the murderer, had his genes, experiences.

8.CP is inhumane, barbaric, cruel and unusual punishment.

9.CP is evil, a sin, debases our society, makes the state no better than the criminal.
The death penalty is murder, pure and simple.

10.CP is racist, and unfair.

11.CP is expensive

12.B.F. Skinner's adage that he can condition anyone to become anything still applies.

13.Society should be compassionate and merciful.

“I am convinced about the veracity of my opinions, but I do consider it likely that they may turn out to be incorrect. Likewise, I am convinced about the incorrectness of the views different from mine, but I do concede the possibility that they may turn out to be correct.” — Imam Shafa’i

Here's the Amnesty International update on the Death Penalty.
