Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

7:04

Good morning!  It’s 7:04, god’s time.  Hope you are doing well.  It’s cold, this morning.  I wanted to stay in bed.   My Kaleb walk was cancelled.   I have some extra time, therefore, and I don’t have to leave the house.

Yesterday’s post (pmd vs. angelus), has multiple musical references:   Peter, Paul, and Mary (puff), of course.  Enya (angelus).  Fleetwood Mac (chain).  Jimmy Buffett (love and luck).  Coleman Hawkins (lucky duck).  ZZ Top (legs). Collective Soul (gel).  Blade Runner soundtrack (vangelis).  Rob Dougan (matrix soundtrack, furious angels).  Twilight’s gleanings (terry whetstone).  That’s 10.   There could be more.  Only 4 were intentional.

Today’s plan:  Economist, NYT, email, history, dictionary, exercise, and blog.   Eat, shower.  Maybe a trip to Walgreens.  I won $4 in yesterday’s Mega-Millions lottery, maybe I’ll buy 2 more.  A simple plan.  Take a nap.  Music.  Eat, again. Drink a hot chocolate.  Eat oatmeal, coffee, gnc.   Take vitamins, meds.  That’s all, folks.

I’ve got a few piles of paper to process, I’ve been avoiding.   If I get through the above, maybe I’ll dive in.   More likely, I’ll dither.   On wikipedia or YouTube or pinterest or something.  No matter.  There’s 5 books I haven’t read, that I want to.   And many more, less of a priority.  I’ve got 10,001 songs to work through, too.  Busy, busy.  In good time.

8a to 10p, 14 hours, I should get a fair amount done.   I know, it’s Saturday.  I still do my “homework.”  Git ‘r done!
