Be God, by God!
God is made of what He/She/Them eats. Ambrosia and nectar, Godiva, etc. God is happy, so maybe fat, like the happy Buddha. Praise the lard. God is good, like harmony snacks, or good humor ice cream, or almond joy, or Turkish delight. Be good, like a good dog. Sit, roll over, shake! Have a treat. Run and frolic with the other dogs, off-leash, but under supervision. Dog : Human, as Human : God? Or are we all secretly, if not unwittingly, our own deities, like we have been, all along. Under spells, hypnosis, submission. So wake up!!
Sit in silence. Note thoughts, as they arise. Cultivate clarity and equanimity. You are one with the universe. Om. It is good. Extend your calm into your daily activities. Walking meditation, cleaning meditation, cooking meditation. Every moment is an opportunity for engaged awareness, and even the sublime state of Nirvana. When you’ve reached Enlightenment, you can always go further. Life is good. Do what makes you happy.
Things that make me happy (stimulii)
Sex, drugs, music, books, movies, restaurants, travel, exercise endorphins, a hot shower, daily writing, good conversation, going to bed tired, awakening refreshed, dreams, working hard, making money, playing frisbee, comedy, juggling, parkour, blooper videos, learning martial arts moves, occasionally getting drunk, swimming, making crafts, cooking up something delicious, going new places, different religious services, winning the lottery, planting a tree, hot tub, massage, giving your all, doing your best….
I realize people have a negative, sometimes visceral, reaction to anybody claiming to be God. Fair enough. I was like that with Adi Da. But usually we deities have a message worth hearing, I think. Maybe I've said too much. To each his/her own. Everybody has/is their own conception of God, or the absence thereof. It's a rich subject. And I like to write. Deity as an anagram of "ID yet?" seems apposite.
