Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

a little more

gawd, almighty!

I have some reservations, doubts, misgivings about some aspects of my previously posted litany of aspects of God.   If God is everything, then the concept of God is so meaningful as to be meaningless!!  Is that really the final, enlightened word on the matter (i say to myself)?

I’m so enlightened that I’m back to ordinariness, having clearly defined what most people know already, have always known, what didn’t -in fact- need definition, in the first place, maybe.

God is not, and should not be identified with, torture, I think.  That is the most heinous of sins, and God would not create a Hell, to compound the evil that exists apart from him in the first place.  Or should pain and suffering be embraced as part of the human condition, and in fact Godly?  A part of the divine plan, and in fact essential as the flip side of the coin to pleasure and heaven?  But do we really want to include and think of genocide and the final solution as part of God?  If God is good, and infinite, how can there be evil?  Maybe the concept of God is insane.

In fact, I say God isn’t.  Is that an aspect of God?  Does God not believe in himself?  Is an ace theist an atheist?   Is love imaginary?  Should virtual reality not be included in the category of the real?   Is belief in God regressive, like a social disease, a viral set of memes, unwarranted, irrational, unhelpful, and delusional (a false belief)?

God is like the star trek borg (you will be assimilated!), a corporation: Godco.   Religions are like cults, exclusionary, divisive, and dangerously conducive to hatred, conflict, and war.   Religions are more the cause than the answer to suffering??

Buddhism is godless, even if some Buddhists worship different buddhist deities (buddhas/bodhisattvas).   Maybe God is Buddhist, lol.

Here’s a koan:  God is a lie (said God); which itself might be a lie!

Is that a koan?  I could use some validation.
