I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Number 6

Wish to a genie:

Humans are animals.   We treat our fellow earthlings like shit.   Like objects, meat.   The meat industry is sick and twisted, cruel and vicious, wicked and evil, brutal and savage, mean and unkind, uncaring and callous, rotten and obscene, sinful and depraved, and hellish with pain and suffering.  Slaughterhouses have laughter in them like funerals have fun.  But the reality is intolerable, unacceptable, immoral, unethical, wrong, bad.   It should be illegal, unlawful, criminal.  Animals are sentient beings.   They did nothing wrong.  They do not deserve this treatment.  They deserve compassion and freedom and respect.   Humans do not need to eat meat.  A vegetarian diet is called for - and healthy, kind, better for the environment (and your soul).  Leather and fur jackets are not necessary, either.   The pain and suffering of animals is a modern holocaust.  The term “cow-shwitz” isn’t funny - it’s an unheeded moral atrocity in our midst.  The world is sick.  People are ignorant, and dumb.  Action must be taken.  Humanity cannot be forgiven this abomination.  The world deserves to go to hell.  Unless compassion, kindness, love, and respect for our fellow animals prevails.  Unless this horror ends.  The enormity of it is sickening.   Human barbarity far exceeds the predatory behavior of animals in nature.  We have become an outrage, a monstrosity.   In short, humanity is inhumane, and must change.  Or die.  This is how I feel.  Fuck you, carnivores.  Fuck you, meat-eaters.   Fuck you, wrongdoers.  Fuck you, you selfish sinner.   Maybe you yourself would like to be confined? beaten and abused? bled? burned? disrespected? Killed and eaten? Justice does not exist for this affront to the dignity of both humans and animals.  God is slow to anger.  But enough is enough.  It cannot go on.  People are deluded and hypocritical.  They think they are good.   That humans need meat, and veganism is an inconvenience, and if the meat industry were so truly criminal, the government or animal rights organizations would have taken action.  Meat is delicious, but the truth is insane: our treatment of animals is Hell.  If justice existed, aliens would eat us, in turn.  Please help me stop all this unnecessary torment and torture.  Please.

The other 5, again, are:

1. Human Basic Needs, met (food, shelter, clothing, sanitation, clean water)

2. Education, libraries, internet

3. Healthcare as a human right (healthy food, fitness, gyms, pools)

4. World Peace, no nuclear weapons

5. Stop global warming, be good to Nature

(stop the extinction even, the plastics nightmare, the burning of rainforest, etc.)

6. stop cruelty to animals

7. codify a consistent life ethic.

I saw the movie, 'Earthlings'.   My voice says I've been radicalized.   I've been traumatized and a bit enlightened, is how I think of it.  Geezus.  I love meat, but now I hate the industry.   So I think abstaining from now on is worth it.  Abortion, Capital Punishment, War, and Meat deserve a consistent life ethic, in law and morals.  That's where I'm at.  "I will not be a pawn for the prince of darkness, any longer" ?   So what if we're all eventually worm food.  So what.  There is a moral imperative to minimize pain and suffering.  Maximizing profit, in my opinion, does not outweigh the need to respect life, indeed, to bring joy to each other, our fellow animals.
