Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Preliminary Answer

The Solution

War

No nations. One country, like the United States.  One world.  United Nations, you might say.  Open borders, the entire planet.  No armies.   Everybody a conscientious objector.   Then we won’t kill each other.  No weapons.   Live in harmony, and learn martial arts/ self defense. No poverty.  Basic needs met, and guaranteed, to all.   Food, clean water, shelter, clothing, housing, sanitation, peace

No crime.  Ignominy, misery, boredom, bad food, no sex, until you die!  That would do it, no?Just radio, books, writing, and exercise.   Everything else, gone.    No delicious food, variety, sex, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, or suicide.  No tv, movies, porn, internet, raising a family, or romantic love.   Well, maybe a computer to write with.  But no internet.  Maybe wikipedia.  A computer for writing ,and wikipedia to read, if you’re good.   The prisoner-professors can teach the world, through books, written to pass the time.  Erudition, to make up for past criminality. Professors can compile data.  Creatives can write fiction.  And Evils can rot.

A weird vision.

Life is pretty good.  I read Pinker.

Sometimes I think the Goods can rot, too.

Just let the world rot.

Or,

A thriving world, rewarding those that meet the most need (capitalism, money).  Non-profits and charities and government, redistributing resources, for equity/equality.  Heaven on earth, everybody doing what they want, including druggies.   Libraries, with stimulus galore, plus the internet, among other outlets for creativity.   Fitness, a culture that glorifies athleticism and health and strength and beauty.

The Final Solution

Haha, fuck that shit

Evolving, changing, continually modified, ever-improving, society approaching utopia, perfection, heaven, the kingdom, shambala, whatever the fuck you want to call it.  Worry about yourself, make your own life perfect, everybody pursuing self-interest.  Scientific match-making, and nurturing of talent, incubated, nourished, cultivated - gift, genius, faculty, aptitude, talent - recognized, rewarded, encouraged, promoted, furthered, fostered.

Madness

Enjoy life, in all it’s glory of diversity, and insanity!

Conscientious Objection:

Defying conscription is honorable - the answer, really, to war, and nationalism.  Being locked up for integrity to pacifist and humanist values is a badge of honor.  Conformist sheeple who go along with the crowd basically deserve to suffer the hell of war,  even death.   Any institution responsible for bombs, like nuclear weapons, or losing limbs, or flamethrowers, or any death at all, whether of individuals or entire communities, needs be met with impassioned, principled resistance.  We all know war is evil.  Why would you join such a thing?  If you were born in an enemy territory, you would be on the other side.  We instinctively know that weapons are threatening, and there is virtue in being prepared with training in self-defense.   That is part of the answer.  Countries, governments, and militaries are part of the problem.  We are all humans, and different languages and religions are not reasons to hate or kill each other.   This is what I believe.   The unthinkable shouldn’t even be a possibility.  Militaries are an abomination.   We think they are necessary, or even a necessary evil.  They are not.  Humanity has outgrown that shit.   Let’s get on with it.  It’s time for the madness and stupidity to end.

"mowing the lawn" is better, I think, than making a rock garden, so to speak.   Pink Floyd and the Pope and Ronald Reagan all say, "tear down the wall".  Your move.
