Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Mom Day

Mom visited this morning, we didn’t go for a walk, as planned - just talked, in my room.  Traffic was bad.  I’m glad I didn’t have to take Bart, though.   I showed her how my computer can look up terms, if you highlight them, and how SNL is on YouTube, and Sara’s latest Instagram, and introduced her to the Joe Frank website.  And she asked my opinion of Elon Musk.  I showed her the SNL opening with Elon (she didn’t know he had asperger’s), and told her the Tesla 3 is the safest car, and that I read his biography.   She thought Elon’s neck was weird.  I told her I thought Bill Gates has weird fingers and Jeff Bezos has a weird eye.   Anyway, I showed her my calendar, with the daily blog pageview count record.  And my bike, with its new ultra-durable tires.  We talked a little about Harry Potter.  She met my roommate Michael, and they talked.  She gave me some strawberries.  I gave her mother’s day flowers, and returned her spanish dictionary and cookie pan.  She listened to a couple songs on the Echo (Hey Jude, and The Wedding, by Julie Rogers).  I’ll get her one for her birthday (but she’s not interested in my cd’s).   She wants to borrow my music book (1001 Songs).  She’s not interested in reading Infinite Jest (too long), but I told her it was extremely funny, at times.  I still have the laundry bag she gave me when I was in college, with the ‘Hi Mom, I’m Home’ printed on it.  And I showed her the stack of paper  (23 binder clips) that’s my (printed) blog.  I just bought a replacement ink cartridge.  She’s wishing me well for my KP appointment Monday (high blood pressure re-check).  Tomorrow is one of my nephew’s birthdays (as well):  I gave him a pack of flash-cards about Space (he was an astronaut for Halloween).

Up to Rent-a-family on the Joe Frank alphabetical listing of the ‘Premium Membership’.   Redneck Rounders was funny.   I went and got lunch at Easy Creole.  Kate texted me.  I’m behind in my blogging (of daily history, anyway).  But it can wait.
