Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

Your pal, Jess
L-I'm a straight, virgo/boar INTJ (age 52) who enjoys books, getting out into nature, music, and daily exercise.

F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Do's and Don'ts

To Do

Read books, magazines, trivia cards, encyclopedias, my blog, wikipedia, cnn, email.  Listen to music, flash briefing, watch YouTube, Ted talks, instagram, pinterest, J!, arts and letters daily.  Exercise, swim, do pushups, yoga, stretch, lose weight, weigh yourself.   Eat vegetarian, drink water.  Phone home, text friends, brush teeth/floss/rinse, take shower, shave.  Vacuum.  Write.  Research.  Stay curious, engage, learn.  Share.  Love someone.

Varietize!  Go someplace new.  Do something different.  Make a new friend.   Try a new job.  Keep things fresh.  Buy new clothes.  Go shopping.  Eat new foods.  Play a different role.  Take a walk on the wild side.   Be utterly boring.  Do what you want.  Don’t worry, be happy.   Well, maybe worry (a little).   Be all that you can be.  Just do it.   Git ‘r done.

Don’t Do

Crime, vice, sin.  Don’t be twisted, malicious, mean, cruel, rude, unkind.  Don’t be stupid, ignorant, incurious, foolish, apathetic, lazy, unmotivated, deluded, confused.  Do not turn to the dark side of the force.  Always look on the bright side of life!

Abhor war, and increase the peace!

Neutral, indifferent universe

NIUE is the world’s largest coral island, in the South Pacific

NIU Ecstasy, elation of Enlightenment

You see Reality as it is:

1. transitory, temporary

(every object in the universe, and the universe itself)

2. Big AF (and actually infinite, as far as I can tell,

        as an intuitive logical understanding)

3. Filled with objects, and (as long as you are alive: Consciousness)

4. Human Nature is DNA, evolution, adapted to Earth, is what makes it Heavenly

Designed to seek pleasure, avoid pain, survive and reproduce

We are sex-machines, born to breed,

       purely parental, reproductive robots

that seek good genes and plentiful resources (e.g. money), evolutionary fitness

5.  God, Truth, Universe is Reality

God is consciousness:  Reality is God’s dream

One, unity - that which is always already the case

Love-bliss, no identity, otherness, separateness, isolation; no-self

It’s all good, one with everything, one with the universe

      Creation-Destruction-Preservation, change and flow

Space and Time, spacetime (all in all is all we are, human hive)

it's all logistics, physics: we move things around

         objects, bodies, ideas, money

6. work, play,

     read, watch, listen,

     eat, exercise, sleep,

     write, talk, create

7.  see, hear, smell, taste, touch (sense, perceive, dream)

8. Levity, frivolity, merriment, joy, happiness, cheer, glee, fun, laugh, smile, dance, sing

       (no attachment, aversion, delusion)

            clinging, positive attachments, negative attachments

       (no greed, hatred, ignorance)

anger, hatred, rage, wrath, fury, ire, spite, malice, disgust

       (no lust, malice, confusion)

            foolishness, incuriosity, apathy, stupidity

The absence of these things, the presence of virtues and perfections:

reading, meditation yields:

knowledge, wisdom, understanding, grok, enlightenment

effect:  fully present, contentment, freedom, equanimity, discernment, ongoing pleasure, satisfaction, bliss, purity, fully alive, just alive enough to enjoy being dead!  (with understanding, life becomes amusing, like one big amusement park, or Joe Pesci in Goodfellas, or maybe a superiority complex).
