Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

Your pal, Jess

F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Update

Dipper, Pepper, Junie, Kaleb, Rover, Duke, and Snoopy have been keeping me busy, lately.  I got a flu shot (kaiser).  I bought a pizza (papa john’s): Alfredo chicken bacon garlic mushroom.   My blog is averaging about 85 page views a day, this month.  I voted.  I’m looking forward to seeing Snoopy romp with horses.  I bought halloween candy, the usual almond kisses (but it won’t last, I think).  I’ve been giving Snoopy 90 minute walks.   Some days I do pushups in my room.   120, the goal (12 sets of 10).  I’m reading lots of news, mostly economist, only a bit of NYT.  Plus some history.  A guy told me I sounded Irish, today.   Weird.  My YMCA membership is on hold.  I’ve been sleeping in.  Sara is busy with work, Augie, and her new baby, Hugo.   I haven’t read a book in awhile.  I still have a library book from March.  I got a haircut.   In the heat, I’ve been dipping myself in the shower.  Trippy dreams.  Listening to Zappa.  A few weeks back, I got a covid-19 test (negative).  I’m keeping to my room, mostly.  35 million have corona, worldwide, officially.  But the WHO says maybe 760 million (!).  Looking forward to election day.
