Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

Your pal, Jess
I'm a straight, virgo/boar INTJ (age 54) who enjoys books, getting out into nature, music, and daily exercise.

(my email is JesseGod@live.com)

F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Save My Soul

 Good at being bad

Really good at being really bad

Great at being evil, in fact

The best at writing.   Better than being evil.  Grok.

Killing bugs, eating meat, soul aligned with both sides of the force.

You get it, you understand, you have sympathy

Compassion for carnivores, the prey, vegetarian anger, the whole thing.

Kill germs, vermin, hunt for meat, soldiers obey orders

For money, for kicks, for their country, for freedom, just because

Being a warrior, good at winning fights, strategy, tactics, execution

God is good.   God is a vegetarian.   Meat is good, though.

I’m an omnivore.  Just the way it is.   Sorry.

Also, I don't believe in souls.

I mean, this blog is kind of my soul, it seems, actually.

I believe in irreverence and blasphemy!

I also enjoy believing everything, syncretic, pantheist

You can think, be, do, say whatever you want.

Don't believe the hype.   Don't be.  Leave.

------

There are more stars than grains of sand, on earth, is said

Each star has an average distance from other stars of x light years

(oh, in The Milky Way, our galaxy, the statistic is about 5 ly, is what I heard

      - not the U)

The speed of light is 186,282 miles per second

The closest star is Proxima Centauri.   It is 4.24 light years away.

It would take us (a crewed spacecraft like the Apollo Lunar Module) 27,000 years to go one light year.    An aircraft going 600 mph would take 1 million years to go a single light year.

This is only the KNOWN universe

I think space is infinite, in fact

There was a before spacetime, too, if you use your noodle

The average location in space is said to be completely black!

We are incredibly solitary and alone, out here on this spiral arm in the middle of nowhere

The situation is seriously unfathomable

Ask me?  Do whatever the fuck you want

We’re all candles in the wind, bubbles about to pop, ephemera

We are things, objects, bodies, that age, decay, die, disappear, dust to dust

We’re all in the same boat, nobody lives forever!

Even so, Happiness is possible, real, sustainable.

Love life, all of it.  Your one life.

Number of stars?   The guesstimate is 2x10 to the 23rd.   200 sextillion.  In the OU.

Observable Universe.  2 trillion galaxies x 100 billion stars per galaxy, average.   Happy counting!   The average distance between galaxies?  About 1 million light years.   Now you know.   In much knowledge is much suffering?  Ecclesiastes 1:18.    Sneezy nasties.  Achoo!

Exercise at the Jim!

Snap into a slim Jim, bulk up at the gym

Jim Hennessy, Jim Marquis, Jim and Steve, gym

Jimmy Carter, Jiminy Cricket, Jim Carrey

Jim Jones, James, Jaime

Words and turds are for the birds (cumin is for humans!)

Fly, fly

For a (humanoid) angel to fly, the wingspan would have to be 23 feet

Plus, bones would have to be hollow, and

also, the musculature would be crazy

Is it possible?   Will human technology someday make a real angel?

Ridiculous.

I count Jim among my friends.  :-)

Less literal, everybody's in the heart of gold band.   Set the angel in you free!   We are each of us angels with only one wing, let us embrace each other and fly.  Yada yada.

Waiting for a miracle?  Miracle on 34th street - but I AM, really!

In your dreams?  Over my dead body?

At the Apple Store (gotta take the Vision Pro goggle demo).

You can buy a jar of Miracle Whip!

Spirit in the Sky, your last breath (puff) joins the atmosphere

(tropo, strato, meso, thermo, exo-) spheres, :-)

burpees, herpes, and slurpees!

G-D is dead!  (Gertrude Degenhardt)

86,400 seconds in a day

31,546,000 seconds in a year

120 years is a lotta seconds

    3,785,520,000 (actually)

95 years is about 3B seconds
