Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

A 52 year old single man decided he wanted to turn his life around, after meeting a pretty lady who expressed abstract interest in having a baby.  Perhaps this woman was indicating a desire for him, and what she was REALLY saying was that she thought he was hot, and wanted to have HIS baby.  The subtlety of it was powerfully arousing, and he had to know.  They dated, were intimate, and the answer arrived: a bouncing baby boy!  Well, what happened first really went a little more like this:

they did the deed, she felt sinful, so they paused the relationship while living apart, and he did what had to be done, and before a baby did (or could) enter the picture, he got several jobs, moved to be with her, and then proposed to her, before marrying, then making love, then conceiving, then having a child, then raising the baby together in a house they both worked for and deserved, and then, of course, living happily ever after, and even - if she was lucky- raptured into heaven to live in bliss for all eternity.

Of course, a man of 52 and a woman of 44 are no spring chickens, and, the average age of menopause is 52, and the man has a family history of s-, and the two are crazy in love with each other (literally crazy, maybe), each being on an opposite pole of the american political spectrum, she voting Trump, he voting Biden, and what’s more:  he being almost atheist and she being a devout Christian.   But they understood each other, and had fun talking with each other, and made each other happy.  On a deeper level, they were the same.  So who cares, right?

Well, maybe it was a giggling girl.   Infant, newborn, tot, child, little one!  The future is being written in the past?  And there’s always some wiggle room!  The sex was hot, the passion was intense, the love was real, the intimacy profound, and the joy suffused their entire beings.   They were soulmates without souls (or at least one, anyway), they were lovers, living and alive.   Life was good, and even death was a promise of the possibility for even better things to come.  And social progress was happening, the world was getting better, technology was getting ridiculously advanced (and cool), and the wealth and prosperity of the couple (and the world) were only growing.   Lack and need and want were things of the past.  Things were looking up.

He had a blog, and his fame and renown were only growing.   He was recognized as a talented writer,  and interest in his creations and poetry was spreading.  He enjoyed writing, and did it for the love of the process, the satisfaction in the result.  People were starting to believe in Him.    He was even beginning to believe in Himself.  In any case, he had something to say, and it was being put out there, for all the world to accept or reject, as each reader saw fit.   Having a girlfriend made him feel sexy and inspired, so he typed away for hours to share the love.
