Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

Your pal, Jess

F.Y.I. There are about 2500 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Busy, Productive, Satisfying Day

 Woke up early

Bought a bunch of stuff, (e.g. hair dryer, appliance cable, flowers, perfume, pastry, T-mobile payment0,  Kleenex (we're both sick), checked my bitcoin, emailed my doctor, ordered meds, texted my house/dog sit person, learned Duke died (a dog in my world), took my med, walked Snoop n Shel, after picking them up at Barkmont, I called the Berkeley Free Clinic (dental), fixed my radio, texted my aunt and mom and some friends;, music, tv,  took a shower,  bought a splendid package of Splenda, chatted with Patricia, and took Day 3 of my AI 28 day challenge with Coursiva.   I watered my plant (don't ask).   I did my budget, watered the new sunflowers, shaved, used beard oil,  Paid Edgar for this month's wifi.   Had a pot of coffee.  Happily explored an (effective) pair of cockroach traps.  Wrote a little.  Got 74 page views.  I found a jar, Disney theme, out by a curb.   Bought gum, juice.   Memorialized Duke with 3 photographs.

So, I recently learned that my friends Doug Biggert, Serena Yuen, and Duke the doberman, died.  RIP.

Today, I walked dogs again, I went to the BFP (food pantry) at Quaker church (which is closing on the 31st! :-(.    And I'm going to take a shower and do my Coursiv for 30 minutes, take a nap maybe, and eat ground beef with rice and tomatoes for dinner.   I have some phone calls to make, too.  It's nice to put away 3 large heavy bags of groceries, and be busy, and make plans.   The candles in our room smell nice.  And we have Extra flowers, for the kitchen and LR.   (file in my head: shower, phone call, dinner, exercise, nap, computer).  Plus, I rode my ebike out to Oakland and picked up my 2 meds from kp (no co-pay).

Today, I met with IR at the nearby branch library (in the separate room allowing talk), discussed KS and her bills, took notes, and I walked dogs, and bought pizza slices (from Bigotes).   Looked at the Onion, this blog (188 views today), and drank like 5 cups of coffee.  I printed email attachments (2 documents), and stayed organized with paper clips, and today's word is "prairie" which is French for "meadow."  My blood test results show everything normal.  And I haven't done my daily AI online learning session for today yet.  I listened to my phone on my walk, for a change.  My headphones ran out of juice, however.  I took the trash out, and was given leftover deli slices of turkey, and got paid for a 2nd extra walk, and gave K an envelope full of photographs (of T).  There's the usual charging of devices (phones, headphones, radio, little radio, watch, bicycle, and computer).
