Meaning

Humans are just animals, and our purpose is to seek genes and resources to survive and reproduce;  We are like worms, we are tubes, alimentary canals, that eat and excrete.  We are DNA programs, meat and bones, buckets of blood.  We have 5 senses (visual auditory tactile olfactory gustatory) with which we, put simply, move things around.  Life is logistics.  Physics.  We move bodies, objects, ideas, money, goods and services.  We are not souls.  We are bodies.  We are living things.  Our minds interpenetrate.  Humanity is a hive.  We do 11 things: read, watch, listen, write, talk, create, eat, exercise, sleep, work, and play.  And we eat and shit, drink and piss, wake and sleep, and fuck and raise children.  That’s it!  We suffer and seek relief.  Life is simple.  Be good.  Everyone is the same, has the same needs.  Don’t be evil.  We’re all on the same boat, spaceship earth, the global village.  Be a part of the solution, not the problem.  Leave the world better than you found it.  Seek progress, not perfection.  Be happy, do what you enjoy, have fun, play, laugh, and be kind, virtuous, compassionate, grateful, forgiving, sexy, and alive!  Be benevolent, beneficent.  Live and let live.  Live, love, and leave.  God bless.  

God

But wait.  What is God, you say? I have the answer to that, too! From the theoretical definitions to the historical and geographic variety of deities, to the practical and factual reality of Higher Power(s):  God is love, seems to be the first and most important thing.  To love, and be loved in return.  Love is wanting others to be happy.  More joy, less suffering.   What makes us happy?  What imparts gladness, glee, and glow?  A provisional list: Sex, humor, money, health, safety, drugs, nature, good food, friendship, leisure and recreation, variety, travel, restaurants, swimming pools, entertainments, libraries, books, magazines, news, blogs, internet, music, podcasts, movies, shows, videos, exercise endorphins, a hobby, volunteering, personal growth, charity, warmth, kindness, gratitude, optimism, love, compassion…  Suffering requires compassion: sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings and misfortunes of others; Unselfish membership in a community of mutual aid.  Gaining clarity and insight into what is making you unhappy and grokking effective remedies can be attained through meditation.  Well-being can be had, and wisdom derives from both error and lessons from masters.  

So who is this God? This Allah, Yahweh, Father, Son, Holy Spirit, Brahma, Shiva, Vishnu, Morpheus, Ra, Zeus, Quetzalcoatl, Ganesha, Hanuman, Krishna, Ahura Mazda, Eshara, Shara, Hara, Ara, Unkulunkulu, Sahasranama, Bog, Shangdi, Waheguru, Indra, Odin, Adi Da, Tara, and Flying Spaghetti Monster?  Are all these names describing the same thing?  Why not!  Let's just assume it's all me.  All you.  All everybody.  I like syncretism. YHWH or Jealous is Reality, Nature, All, Life, The Universe, and Everything.  Einstein's God, the God of Spinoza, this Being/Spirit/Person is A Higher Power, A Supreme Being, principal object of faith, and source of all moral authority.  God is a genie, a Santa, for adults.  Love-bliss, primarily.  Love comes in many forms: Caritas, agape, philia, eros, etc...  Love believes all things.  Me, myself, and I.  But God is also all possibility, infinite, always and everywhere, omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent.  He (or She) can do anything, is almighty, all-powerful, and therefore can be an affliction, the little man in your head, who can hear and answer prayers, a telepath.  He is invisible, invincible.  Everything that happens is the will of God.  Jesuits endeavor to "see god in all things."  God knows everything, has made all mistakes, is righteous, and holy.  This know-it-all of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, is good, better, best, perfect.  God is great.  God is not bad, never evil, is just and fair, merciful and forgiving, kindly, loves everyone, and created the universe, and paradise, heaven, utopia.  He is blessed, sacred, sanctified, consecrated, hallowed, venerated, revered, deific and divine.  God is your better self, a self-help process.  Only God is good.  He is good, a guide, a guard.  God is an ideal, a role to play, an identity, a status.   God is like the highest level of a video game.  Almighty God is a living man, and our Better Angels.  He is the source of all things good, deserving of all glory, honor, and praise.  God is grandiose, a king of kings, an emperor, the ruler and lord and most high.  God is the shit.  God is the greatest conceivable existent.  God is the man upstairs, the big cheese, the big kahuna, and a slave to all.  Gospel is God's spell.  God is a man of war, the prince of peace.  The alpha and omega.  Conception and death.  The big bang and the end of time.  And all points in between.  Or maybe time immemorial, time without beginning, and time without end, forever and ever, perpetually and always, constantly, in any case, interminably, for good, without fail.

Far and away, above and beyond, the great man is incomprehensible, incorporeal, self-contained, creator, destroyer, preserver, enlightenment nirvana and bliss, and immanent and transcendent, and a stunningly visual eidetic genius telepath, who makes the world in his image, because Reality is all the god there ever is.  God is truth, science, honesty, sincerity.  Atheism is a path to God.  God can be real or virtual, actual or an imaginary delusion.  We are all loved children of a loving God.  God is all the conceptions ever made of him, and more.  God is a growing concept, and all in all is all we are.  God is humor, comedy, satire, jokes, and jest.  God is warmth, friendship, and community.  God is all you ever wanted, the answer to your wildest dreams.  Not just a word, or a game (but those, too).   Yoga is a path to God.  And you'll arrive at where you are, always already there.  Do you not know that you are not your own?  You are possessed, an avatar, a vessel, perfect just the way you are, numinous, filled with the presence of divinity, little old boring stupid you.   Even ire, spite, malice, vengeance, wrath can be Godly.  God is a man of war.  Goodwill toward all and malice toward none.  War is the art of deception.  And that's the truth.  Alive, awake, aware.  L' Chaim!  To life!  Seize the day!  God's tool, an instrument of his will.  Love, reign o'er me!  Buddha is my buddy.  Nobody's perfect, except maybe God at His best.  You're just a human, just a body, just you.  Islam means submission.  Vanity, all is vanity.  Self-apotheosis, we become what we pretend to be, even if there is no-self, no immortality, and you are empty, aside from being one with the universe: all things good, beautiful, noble, pure, and true.  All the world's a stage, with a Gaudience!  To thine own self be true! :-). God might not think of himself as God?  just a thought.  You have freedom.  You can play any role you like!  God am does not equal goddamn.

Logos, The word-game

G.O.D. can be insightful: Good orderly direction, good offense defense, group of disciples, grave oblivion death, garden of delights, goddess of dawn, goddess of dystopia, gold oil diamonds, generosity of donors, grasp of detail, getting old dying, gone over dead, good old days, gratification of desires, G overdose, generation or destruction, get out devil, girl of dreams, grieving over dead, gift of D (there are over 41,000 words in the English language that begin with D)...  God without G is odious.  God with an O is good.  G-D, good and decent.  gives a damn.  glee and delight.  grace and divinity.  glory and dominion.  Grateful Dead.  God and devil.  Omg.  Cum again? 

Life is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing, says the bard.   Death is an experience felt by a genius, full of peace and quiet, signifying everything.  

God is an imaginary entity, with powers, properties, and characteristics, on which we project our ideals.   The embodiment of our superego, our conscience, necessary for wish-fulfillment, like safety or healing or virtue.   I don't want to be a slave, or be seen as responsible for evil, or have prayers invade my head, or be in hell... but I do want to be good.   So there it is.   Maybe I want to be better than God, lol.   I've asked my genie for my 3 wishes: 1. World Peace, 2. Basic Need met for everyone, and 3. Libraries, Internet, Education available to all.  Doable!!   Earth is our Heaven.  Pretty much anywhere else in the entire universe is an inhospitable Hell!  For God to be real, it has to become Reality itself, and Identity: pantheism and self-apotheosis.   Otherwise, who the hell are you submitting to??   Long live the Flying Spaghetti Monster!!  And You!  You alone are the holy one, you alone are the lord, you alone are the most high.
