Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

Your pal, Jess
I'm a straight, virgo/boar INTJ (age 53) who enjoys books, getting out into nature, music, and daily exercise.

F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Jeff Bezos

in the news:
(by the numbers)

Jeff Bezos, "the richest man in modern history", who has $137 billion-
(the chairman/president/ceo and founder of Amazon),
was caught cheating on his wife (Mackenzie Tuttle)
of 25 years (with 4 children)...
so they are divorcing, and she will get billions, i'm told.
Wow, huh?

JB was his hs valedictorian, a national merit scholar,
went to Princeton, graduating, with honor, as a member of
both phi beta kappa, and tau beta pi,
with degrees in:
electrical engineering and computer science,
and
was described by the NY Times, as
"a brilliant but mysterious and cold-blooded corporate titan"

...has always insisted that he "respects all religions,
and does not try to dominate others on the matter."
   is reportedly Christian (unknown denomination),
He has 3 sons, and a daughter, who is adopted, from China.
(I'm adopted, myself)

I have an Alexa, a Kindle,
and was gifted with an Amazon Prime membership, for Christmas.

He owns The Washington Post (which I get daily e-mail from),
is a philanthropist (can anyone intelligently spend that much money?!!),
and
his dad ("birth-dad", his mom remarried) runs a bicycle repair shop,
which is a bit more down to earth, I can relate to, than

Blue Origin, which has the goal of private access to space,
with lower cost, and higher reliability.
The name, blue origin, refers to earth-
(from a future space colonist's perspective!)
(my surname is an anagram for "as earth", I like geography)
(I recently read the biography of Elon Musk, by Ashlee Vance)

I actually like the motto for Blue Origin,
Gradatim ferociter, "step by step, ferociously"
(which could portend an ugly divorce...)

it makes me think of the word, svengali, for some reason,
(other than the wikipedia definition as a person who
controls, dominates, or exploits
a creative person)
