Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

Your pal, Jess

F.Y.I. There are about 2200 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Human

Greetings, Earthling.   What is this thing you call 'Hu-man'?

Hugh mons are an unusual life-form.   Who is your leader?

Species of Animal, Mammal, Naked Ape, Bipedal hominid by the scientific name of Homo sapiens sapiens.   Naked means we're not totally covered in fur... we actually wear clothes, though.

We're our DNA, and bodies, and we are what we eat.

We are what we eat less what we excrete.    What we eat and drink minus what we pee and poo.   We're mostly water.    Besides diet and nutrition, we're also drugs and medications.   We're vitamins, minerals, and supplements.   We're biochemicals, and biomass, and organic objects, things, like robots or machines, but made of muscle, tissue, organs, bone, blood, lymph, tendons, ligaments, all that good stuff.

We are what we do, who we're with, integrated with our milieu (where and when, geography and history), and of course Our Why.

We are Mind, and data, and input, and tv, music, books, movies, conversation.

We are our interests, personalities, education, upbringing, hobbies, and sexuality.

We are our roles, jobs, activities.  We are our past, present, and future.

Buddhists say Self does not exist.  Not a permanent one, anyway.

People are what animates them, their motivation.   What is YOUR animating principle??

I'm basic.

I'm into Happiness, Positivity, Goodness, Virtue, Love, Peace, Prosperity, Health, Fun, and Truth.

I like variety, music, comfort, leisure, fitness, good food, sex, humor, nature, and learning.

I like being happy, making people happy, and making a difference, reducing misery, poverty.

I enjoy life, and I want everyone else to, too.    I like things strange, weird, unusual, exciting.

I like writing, I like money, and I like Kelli :-)
