I call myself Jesse, but there are Trillions of microorganisms living on and within me!
The 99 names of God doesn't even come close, lol.
The human body is comprised of 30-40 Trillion human cells, but this is only like 43% of the TOTAL cell count, for each person. In other words, more than half your body isn't human.
We are comprised of (roughly) 7 octillion atoms, 79 organs, and around 70% water...
40 Trillion is 4 followed by 13 zeros. And 7 octillion is 7 followed by 27 zeros.
We need our microbiota for health, so sometimes clean is TOO clean
How many cells comprise the human body? 30-40 Trillion. This excludes the comparable or larger amount of microbial cells (like bacteria), bringing the total count to well over 60 T.
So we're parsing number of cells and atoms, both human, and microbial.

microbiome constituents: bacteria, viruses, fungi, archaea, protozoa... about 95% of the body's microorganisms live in the gut; the skin holds millions of microbes per square centimeter, (but altogether the microbiome only makes up 1-3% of body weight). Your "hidden half": It's a Part of you, not a passenger.
60T organisms comprise us? Shoot, all of humanity (ever) is only 117 Billion (!). 30T human/38T bacterial cells, one recent estimate. So, More microbial Cells / Genes than human. I want to know the number. How many microbes (not cells, not genes, but actual bugs)? (aha, microbes are ALL singe-celled).
