Welcome!

I, God, welcome you to my blog!

The good book says only God is good, so it seems to me somebody needs to step up.

I hope you enjoy reading this, the Jesse Journal, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Please feel free to subscribe, write me an email, request that I write about any particular topic you may want my perspective on, send a prayer, click on the charity link, or donate money to my bicycle fund! Have fun!

Your pal, Jess

F.Y.I. There are about 2500 posts..

Here's a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky to start things off right: Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Perfekto

Prr fección

said the cool cat-

Perfection is rare.   Only at the Olympics, or in one’s own mind - and most of us are pretty hard on ourselves.  Some people strive for an A+, or a 1600 SAT, or, in other words, no mistakes.  There exists an aphorism, strive for improvement, not perfection.   Judge yourself, not others, and always seek a personal best.  World records exist to be broken.   But everybody can be just as competitive.   And sometimes, you can always get better, improve, exceed expectations, and push yourself to and through your limits.  Always be your best is a tall order, but why expect anything less?  Especially, if you step into the shoes of a God!  God makes no mistakes, they say.    Even the apparently flawed can turn out to be part of the process of growth.   Growth is Godly, so never fear mistakes.   The more mistakes, the more improvement.   Don’t shy away from failure, mistakes, imperfection.   Indeed, excellence demands it.
